St. Catherine
Monastery & Dahab
This
very famous Monastery is situated on the Sinai Peninsula about three hours
drive through the desert from Sharm El Sheikh. The scenery along the route is
fascinating and most tours can make stops at interesting spots including a
small town to buy souvenirs etc.
This
is truly a beautiful place. It has significance to many faiths including
Christianity, Islam and Judaism. At the site you can see the oldest working
Christian Monastery that is still home to the same order of monks who
constructed it in the 4th Century. You will also see the burning bush, a mosque
and a really weird room that contains the bones and skulls of all the monks
that have ever lived there! There is also a piece of St Catherine’s finger bone
on display.
You
will be Picked up from your hotel at approximately 7.00am and driven for
approx. 2.30 hours to the site at the foot of Mount Sinai. You will have Lunch
at St. Catherine’s then be driven for approximately 90 minutes to Dahab, the
biggest shopping area in South Sinai, where you will get the chance to browse
for local Egyptian handicrafts, carpets, jewelry, perfumes, papyrus and other
souvenirs. You will then be driven back to your hotel in Sharm, which will take
another 90 minutes (approximately).
Abu Galloum &
The Blue Hole
You
will be collected from your hotel in a land cruiser and taken to Abu Galum,
which is situated on the east coast of South Sinai, right between Dahab and
Nuweiba. It is a Protected Area that covers about 400 square
kilometers. It protects coastal and mountain ecosystems that are unique
to the Gulf of Aqaba. The coral reef in this area is home to many
different varieties of marine life. This is a truly spectacular
experience.
During
the trip you will visit a restaurant for lunch and enjoy some local cuisine.
You will also visit a Bedouin tribe, enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains,
experience a camel ride and participate in snorkeling to complete your day.
Argo Safari 6×6
Bike In Sharm El Sheikh
Before
starting the trip, we welcome the guest (15 : 30 min, depend on the number of
participants) earlier to instruct and to give them a specified training on the
ARGO’s .
We
start from the center to the desert on a flat sand road approx 20 min, while
this time the guest can get used to the vehicle. Afterwards we reach the valley
between the mountains, where we climb up hills and sand dunes for approx 40
min. for the tea break of approx 30 min. We visit the Bedouin’s tent in the
desert. Later on turn back directly to the center.
We assure you a professional guiding of the clients,
proper instructions and supervision on the whole trip. The guests are obliged
to wear a hamlet and to fasten the seat belt while driving.
Bedouin Show & Dinner
You
will be collected in an air-conditioned vehicle and driven into the heart of
the Sinai desert, which will take approximately half an hour from your
hotel. We will take you to, by invitation, to a Bedouin encampment where
you will see for yourself how they live their lives.
There
are roughly 27 different Bedouin tribes in Egypt and whilst they all speak
Arabic they have their own dialect, which the majority of Egyptians and other
tribes do not understand. Their lives to Westerners seem very primitive but
they have lived this way for centuries.
You
will partake in a genuine Bedouin dinner, drink tea with herbs (Habak) and
enjoy a tanura show. This is the Bedouins own version of the whirling
Dervish.
Finally to finish this magical evening you can enjoy
the peace and quiet of the desert whilst watching for shooting stars.
Camel Ride Trip
If
you want a taste of real Bedouin life this Safari is a must. You will be
