This is truly a beautiful place. It has significance to many faiths including Christianity, Islam and Judaism. At the site you can see the oldest working Christian Monastery that is still home to the same order of monks who constructed it in the 4th Century. You will also see the burning bush, a mosque and a really weird room that contains the bones and skulls of all the monks that have ever lived there! There is also a piece of St Catherine’s finger bone on display.
You will be Picked up from your hotel at approximately 7.00am and driven for approx. 2.30 hours to the site at the foot of Mount Sinai. There are roughly 27 different Bedouin tribes in Egypt and whilst they all speak Arabic they have their own dialect, which the majority of Egyptians and other tribes do not understand. Their lives to Westerners seem very primitive but they have lived this way for centuries.
You will partake in a genuine Bedouin dinner, drink tea with herbs (Habak) and enjoy a tanura show.  This is the Bedouins own version of the whirling Dervish.

Sharm El Sheikh Trips

Day trips in Egypt

About Travel to Egypt

Most people who think of Egypt think of antiquities, but Egypt offers much more. Certainly it is a prime location to see our great heritage from the ancient world, including Pyramids and wonderful temples, but it is also part of the Holy Land, and tours to Christian and other religious monuments are popular. Yet Egypt also offers nature and desert treks, great scubadiving and even golf, fishing and birding expeditions. One may choose to relax on the wondrous Egypt Red Sea or Sinai coasts, take in the high culture of Cairo, or even leisurely float down the Egyptian Nile on a luxurious river boat.
